The 30-Day Testing Framework
Our reviewers commit to using each AI tool for a minimum of 30 days before publishing a review. Here’s what that looks like:
- Week 1 — Onboarding & Basics (10+ hours): We go through the complete signup and setup process, configure the tool to our preferences, and complete basic tasks. We time how long it takes to get the first useful output.
- Week 2 — Deep Feature Exploration (15+ hours): We systematically test every major feature, including edge cases, error handling, and output quality across different use cases.
- Week 3 — Real Workflow Integration (12+ hours): We replace our existing tool in this category with the one being tested and use it exclusively for all related tasks, tracking productivity changes.
- Week 4 — Comparative Testing (8+ hours): We run identical tasks on the reviewed tool and its top 3 competitors to produce objective, side-by-side comparison data.
Total testing time per review: 40-50 hours over 30 days.
